![]() When you make choices based upon someone else's thoughts of what you should be doing- you end up living someone else's life. As Frankie said, "I did it my way". What other way is there? Whilst it's scary taking the road less traveled, it's a helluva lot more frightening to wake up and realise your life isn't your own. Do it or die trying. Fortune favours the brave. Xx

![]() Tomorrow's New Moon stands to be a powerful one.To start with, it is the first in line of a rare two new moons in one sign. Unusual to say the least. Sitting at just 0 degrees it emphasises the Aquarius traits of change, revolution and freedom. Ahhh...but like all things Aquarian, there is a twist. This free thinking and stubborn sign is co-ruled, in modern astrology, by the planet Uranus. Currently Uranus is hanging out with the South Node which represents our natural talents and what we know but also the things we hold onto due to fear. Our comfort zone gets mighty uncomfortable if we mess with it too much and we begin to feel bound and unsure of ourselves. Mercury goes backwards the day after the New Moon, encouraging the need to reflect, take stock and review. Where has life gone decidedly wonky for you of late? Are you holding onto something because thats the way it has always been? Have you been scared to let go of something...or someone? So here we are with the New Moon being heavily influenced by our past. Major endings and wonderful beginnings all rolled into one. It may take until further into February to really start to see these changes but it doesn't stop them from crystalising in your heart and mind now. Learn from the past, release it with grace and move into the future. Its hard to dance with the devil on your back, so shake him off. * Go forth and conquer... yourself that is. www.lunachic.com.au Sydney Jan 21 12.14am New York Jan 20 07.14am London Jan 20 01.14pm *Florence and the Machine So after a few daunting weeks where I was turned into a pretzel and had my eyes opened in not the most pleasant of ways about humanity, I decided to haul my bag of bones to the ocean. I literally fell into her arms. After lying on my back for a while in complete surrender, I started to play. Backflips, front flips, singing underwater- you name it. I was giggling like a child. Sheer bloody joy! On my way back home I decided to take an overgrown track instead of moving with the throng. There was a man just ahead of me, from behind I gathered he was in his 50's and looked super corporate even though he was in his swimmers. As we got to the top of the loooong flight of stairs he let out a massive and very prolonged fart. It echoed through the trees! I couldn't help myself and let out an even louder belly laugh. The poor buggar spun around startled. He looked at me with almost pleading eyes and then slowly started to smile. Then he laughed out loud. "Well at least I'm relaxed" he said. " I was thinking of doing the same thing mate" I replied. We both parted ways laughing. I'm still laughing! Life isn't always serious. Having a sense of the ridiculous helps. And laughter helps us connect with each other and lighten the load. I hope today brings you something wonderful to smile about. Xx
www.lunachic.com.au Listening to the beautiful Tracey Chapman covering Bob Dylan’s classic I was struck by how much it resonated with the energy of this full moon in Cancer happening today.
Cancer is an action sign that seeks nurturing and security. It is butting heads with the planets of profound transformation and break throughs. The “ By George I think I’ve got it “ type moments. But change is scary to us humans and something we tend to shy away from. The nodes are involved which emphasises the push/pull between past and future. Do I take the leap and jump boots and all into the great unknown? Or do I stay in what may have become confining but is at least familiar? Do I feel strong enough to withstand the changes? Or am emotionally fried? The beauty of this aspect is that Chiron is working his healing magic with this powerful moon. Chiron gets us to acknowledge our self perceived flaws and make peace with them. It also gives us courage. Whether you’re now standing at the foot of or the top of the mountain, it is the perfect time get in touch with your own power, take a sharp look at what needs to be gone in your world to ease the load and take that first step. The one constant in life is change and my friends, the times they are a changin. Whilst researching Saturn's shift into the sign of Sagittarius, kicking off today, I looked into real life folk who were born with this placement. Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and Che Guevara stood out. Each of these men agitated for change from the ground up and adhered to a cause that challenged the status quo. Each had a vision and each ultimately died because of their ideals. Sagittarius is the truth seeker and over the next 3 years we are encouraged to seek out our truth, our ideals, our vision. Saturn asks us to ground these parts of our spirit and build a solid base in which we can set our souls free. It asks us to put our money where our mouth is and step up to what we believe in. The tricky part is being open to other people's truths whilst not losing sight of our own. And to not succumb to dogma and fear about anything or anyone that looks or thinks differently. This fire sign also rules philosophy and religion. Sagittarius paints things in thick, broad, multihued strokes. Saturn prefers attention to detail and taking one step at a time. See the dichotomy? Each of the aforementioned men stood for something and have become symbols of freedom in one way or another. Each dedicated their lives to their vision. We all have a dream but Saturn wants you to make yours a reality during his stay in this sign. This requires perseverance, persistence and standing in your own integrity. It is the glue that holds the structure of your life together. What is your dream? |
