May Skies 2018

May is pivotal for many reasons. If you felt like the events of April brought you to the conclusion that things couldn’t go on as before or you just could not revisit the past then this month gives a taster as to what the future holds or at the very least, the unlocked potential that awaits. May sees the shift of our collective consciousness turn to what gives us a sense of security in our lives and our perception of what brings us peace of mind, particularly on a financial level. Notice I say perception. Can that be tweaked or even given a complete overhaul? Does it truly, as you’ve led yourself to believe, give you what you think?  It’s very much an out with the old, 
 in the new kind of month. 

From the 6th to the 9th of the month, the feeling of being pulled and pushed is very apparent. Our conversation planet Mercury is locking horns with boundary planet Pluto. Our words have the ability to heal or harm, so please choose yours wisely. There may be a strong desire to escape from the above tussle as Venus, ruler of all things finance and love - its a worth thing - gets swept away by fluffy Neptune. Dot your i’s and cross your t’s in any negotiations to do with amour and moolah. Hope returns on May 9th, and whilst I’m all for following your heart, do remember to take your head with you. 

Theres a cracker of activity from May the 11th to the 16th. In fact this is where the action which will last the entire month truly starts. First we have a gorgeous link on the 11th ( my birthday - boom! ) from powerful Pluto to the steadfast Taurus Sun, urging us to plant the seed for our future growth. Mercury once again stumbles into fiery territory on the 12th of the month so do not be pushed into confrontations then. Make this your mantra for the day. 
The very next day this same planet shifts signs into stable and earthy Taurus, where it will stay until May the 29th. Think Ella Fitzgerald. Hmmm. Beautiful. Turn your thoughts to long range plans, putting down roots and speaking plainly from the heart. 

The Taurus New Moon which falls on the 15th of the month is unusual to say the least. Taurus is known for its unflappable facade and the need to do things in its own time. It points to what provides stability in our lives. But a unique astrological event aligns on the same day. Uranus, our planet of upheaval, change and enlightenment, moves into this sign where, apart from a few months later on this year, it will stay until 
April 2026. You see the dichotomy? Slow and steady meets breaking from tradition. So this New Moon has some fizz. Expect to see major change over the next few years in the way in which we view and use the banking system, virtual money, our connection with food and the planet and sustenance. The old way will not suffice. 

Mars shifts signs on May the 16th into the expansive sign of Aquarius and runs headlong into a spat with Uranus. Differences of option and ethics collide. People will be more inclined to stand their ground that day. You have been warned! 

Conversations on the 18th of the month are much more stable- theres that word again! - and on the 20th of May peace loving Venus moves into scrumptious Cancer until June the 14th. You may want to beautify your home, eat well and reach out to those who you consider family. Lovely. Bed anyone?

The Sun shifts gears into savvy Gemini on May the 21st until June the 22nd. This sign thrives on change and loves to connect with those of a like mind, so go seek your pack. The 23rd of the month until the 25th lends high energy, accomplishing much in a small amount of time. This time urges us to join forces with those who can also see the big picture. The 26th of May will not dampen our spirits but will definitely give a reality check in terms of our relationships and cash flow. And thats okay! Being honest with yourself is where it all starts. 

Our beautiful Sagittarius full Moon on May the 29th makes a great connection to assertive Mars. This gives us the motivation and the courage to not only dream big but to action those plans with confidence and vigour. What an awesome way to round out a rather exciting and unusual month.
