 have been sitting here for what seems an eternity trying to figure out what to write for this month's New Moon in Virgo. Having sifted through literally hundreds of pictures that would represent a feeling of pared back freshness and elegance, I threw my phone down and went to make myself a lovely, calming cup of tea. Then, I burst out laughing.
See, Virgo is renowned for it standards. It is also famous for its attention to detail. I couldn't get anything to match how precise my vision of what this energy encapsulates. Nothing was, ahhhh, quite right. This is the beauty and the buggar of this sign. With 5 planets residing here our focus is being honed on efficiency, streamlining our lifestyle choices and refinement. Getting rid of clutter and anything that restricts flow is Virgo Nirvana. Daily routines get a tidy up and health and wellbeing become priority. Getting our knickers in a knot over fussy details slows everything down and makes energy clunky.  My husband looked at me the other day and said " I'm peopled out." I totally heard him. For two raving introverts, the influx of new faces and places into our lives had left us feeling frazzled and frayed. Without a quiet space in which to reflect, constant action can become chaotic. A still and peaceful place was just what the doctor ordered.
This is the energy of Pisces. It is the energy of recharging the batteries, embracing the silence, long walks in the country, floating arms out and face up supported by the ocean, of sneaky film dates with yourself, getting lost in the freedom of dance, being touched by the hand of God whilst meditating on a flickering candle. There is a Greek word which I adore called Meraki. I love how it rolls off the tongue and delight in its meaning even more. Translated it is the innermost essence of yourself that is placed into your work. To do something with soul, love and pure creativity. It is where passion meets self expression. Purr. 🦁 It strikes such a deep cord within me because I live and breathe my work. That doesn’t stop me from being a God Almighty pain in the neck at times but I truly love what I do. I get so excited about all the possibilities in peoples worlds and my only ask of a client is for them to not only show up for the read but to show up in their lives. No hiding. And that takes enormous courage. It takes a Lion Heart. ❤️ The New Moon Solar eclipse in the final degree of Leo sits alongside fixed star Regulus. The Heart of the Lion. This star has a reputation for imparting the will to succeed and the drive for authority and power. It denotes confidence and gives some hefty swagger. Solar Eclipses kick start a new 6 month cycle in our lives, until the next full Moon Eclipse. This celestial combo can awaken the desire to reboot our dreams and say good riddance to bad rubbish, especially with the gorgeous influence from change maker Uranus. But first, honesty with oneself is a must. Astrology will not give you that which you do not already have. These changes have already been stirring inside you. What are you going to do about them? All we need do is give it permission to be that which it truly is and break free of the often self imposed cage. Good luck. xx💋 New Moon Solar Eclipse Leo 29 degrees♌️ LON Aug 21 7:30pm SYD Aug 22 4:30am NY Aug 21 2:30pm  For the last week I have been stretched to full capacity and far beyond at the Arthur Findlay College of Spiritual Studies. There, I came into contact with people from all walks of life, from the four corners of the earth. We had come to stretch, grow & push ourselves right out of our comfort zones. To break through self imposed blocks & exceed our wildest expectations. I witnessed first hand the vast array of sheer talent out there & the way in which no two mediums worked alike. All of us had our own unique ability which let our beauty shine through. Even with our insecurities, cracks and flaws. Upon returning, I told my husband that I couldn’t go back to the way I was before. The teaching was that bloody powerful! And made me quake in my boots. 😉
I liken this experience to the Full Moon Lunar eclipse. Shining brightly in the sign of Aquarius it illuminates the traits that set us apart from the rest. It may whisper, sing or yell its message but the message will always be the same. That one size does not fit all, that this is your life goddamit & you need to do it your way, that there is power in your " one of a kindness." Even if that makes you look a little, erm, weird. But I’ve gotta tell you, this awakening can be rather like an electric shock. Especially with the Moon’s ruler, Uranus, at a standstill in the sky. It isn't always fluffy pillows & cups of tea. For me it was like someone had ripped off a bandaid! Lunar eclipses can be like a bubble bursting, the closing of a door or the knowledge that you just cannot go back. It can be loud bang or a quiet click but something has just gotta go. Jupiter brings hope & nudges us to turn our faces to the stars. To broaden our world & to dream. It urges us to reach out & connect with those of a like mind. To seek a travelling companion. That can mean journeying away from those who just dont get you. Whilst at the College, I repeatedly heard from Spirit the Nietzsche saying; “ And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” Oh my loves, what the sky is saying now is to find your symphony & when you do…to dance with every fibre of your being.
